Welcome to my blog. I started working with SharePoint 2010 in a new position in September 2011. I haven't been working with it like a lot of the gurus out there but I have been tackling the major setup problems and annoyances that seem to come along with SharePoint. I've come out on the other side wiser and quite proud of what I have achieved.
However, I have not done this alone. There have been may other bloggers and forums that have helped me and pointed me in the right direction with any queries I had. From a timid beginner back in September 2011 to achieving an MCTS qualification and becoming extremely comfortable with all the SharePoint has to offer, I feel that I can certainly contribute back to the global community about what I have discovered.
I am not a developer by any means. Far from it. I am a SharePoint administrator. I keep things out of the box where possible. I use SharePoint Designer minimally for workflows and I do not go near branding! So I might be a good resource for people that are just learning. With SharePoint 15 around the corner, this may be the best way to document everything before we go upgrading again and I lose my hair!
So, let it begin. I should have really started this months ago but here is day 1 and one of the most difficult problems I have come across to date will start in the next post. Well, this is dofficult for me! SharePoint experts will think it's a walk in the park!
I want to thank one person, who I won't name who helped me at the start and continues to help me from afar to this day. You know who you are Guru!!!! :)
Enjoy!
