Mapping to a SharePoint Library

I have run into problems in my experience where when you map a drive to a SharePoint library, it may not work properly, it may not refresh and it may be a bit annoying!

So the best thing to do is to use the "Connect To Office" functionality.

1. Go to the Library in question
2. Click on "Library"
3. Click on "Connect to Office"-->"Add to SharePoint Sites"

 



After a period of unknown time, this will appear under "Favourites" in My Computer. If you are too impatient to wait, open a new instance of Microsoft Word and click File-->Save As. You should also see SharePoint sites in there.

You can now save directly into SharePoint as well as browse.
